Darjeeling, Gangtok, Lachung-Yumthang & Pelling

Day 1: NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport – Darjeeling

On arrival at NJP Railway Station or IXB Airport, our representative will meet you and assist with your transfer to Darjeeling. En route, visit Mirik Lake and the Nepal Border. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Day 2: Darjeeling Sightseeing

After breakfast, visit Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursdays), Tenzing and Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (closed on Sundays), Darjeeling Ropeway, Lebong Race Course and a tea estate. In the afternoon, visit Rock Garden and Ganga Maya Lake. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Day 3: Darjeeling – Pelling

Early in the morning, around 4:00 AM, visit Tiger Hill to enjoy the sunrise over the Kanchenjunga range, subject to clear weather. On the way back, visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Pelling. Overnight stay at Pelling.

Day 4: Pelling Sightseeing

After breakfast, enjoy sightseeing in Pelling, covering Rimbi Waterfalls, Rimbi Hydel Project, Khecheopalri Lake, Kanchenjunga Falls, Singshore Bridge and Dentam Village, including a visit to the Alpine Cheese Factory. Overnight stay at Pelling.

Day 5: Pelling – Gangtok

After breakfast, transfer from Pelling to Gangtok. In the afternoon, enjoy sightseeing covering the Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms, Enchey Monastery, Research Institute of Tibetology, Do Drul Chorten (Stupa), Orchid Sanctuary and Rumtek Monastery. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 6: Gangtok – Lachung

At around 10:00 AM, depart from your Gangtok hotel for Lachung, approximately 115 km away at an altitude of 8,600 feet. En route, visit Tashi Viewpoint, Kabi Lungstok, Naga Waterfalls, the confluence of the Lachen Chu and Lachung Chu at Chungthang, Twin Waterfalls and Bhim Nala Waterfalls. Lunch will be served at Namok. Arrive in Lachung in the late afternoon or evening and check in to your hotel.

Day 7: Lachung – Yumthang Valley – Lachung

After breakfast, proceed to Yumthang Valley, situated at an altitude of approximately 11,800 feet. En route, you may visit the famous hot spring. Surrounded by mountains, Yumthang Valley is known for its alpine flowers during April, May and June. During winter, the valley offers beautiful snow-covered landscapes. Return to Lachung for lunch. In the afternoon, visit Lachung Monastery, the Cottage Industry and nearby waterfalls. Dinner will be served at around 8:00 PM. Overnight stay at Lachung.

Day 8: Lachung – Gangtok

After breakfast, depart for Gangtok. En route, stop around Singhik and Mangan. If the weather is clear, enjoy views of the Khangchendzonga range and surrounding peaks, including Mount Pandim, Mount Kabru, Mount Simvo, Mount Jopuno and Mount Siniolchu. Lunch will be served at Namok. Visit Phodong Monastery on the way before arriving in Gangtok. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 9: Gangtok – Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir Excursion

After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir. Located at approximately 12,400 feet, Tsomgo Lake is known for its scenic mountain surroundings and crystal-clear waters. Spend time enjoying the beautiful landscape before returning to Gangtok. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 10: Gangtok – NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport (IXB) for your onward journey. Your Darjeeling, Pelling and Gangtok tour concludes with wonderful memories of the Eastern Himalayas.
