Ooty to Upper Bhavani is a 60 km drive through the verdant green Nilgiris. Upper Bhavani serves as one of the get ways to the Mukurthi national park, 20 kms from Avalanche and 10 km from Korakundah. The Thai Shola is the largest shole in the Nilgiri range and is just a few kilometers from Upper Bhavani. The landscape, a part of the Western Ghat montane ecosystem, have an abundance of perennial streams and small reservoirs.
